									キセノンランプなどの光源を使用し発した光を分光したのち対象サンプルに照射、再度分光し励起波長、蛍光波長を検出します（イメージ図１．）。基底状態にある電子が光源の光波長エネルギーを得て励起<span style="font-size: 15px;">状態となり、エネルギーを損失しながら基底状態に戻る過程で放出する波長エネルギーが蛍光発光として発現します（イメージ図２．）。この原理は、フロンティア軌道論（HOMO／LUMO）と関連し、吸収・放出エネルギーとΔE<sub>HL</sub>はほぼ等しいと考えられます。</span>								</div>
